Word of Mouth Module setup
1. In your Check This Out account go to Settings/Referral Marketing and enter the discount amounts for referrers (Credit for Affiliate), new customers (Credit for first time recipients), and repeat customers (credit for repeat recipient). Then enter the number of days until a discount expires once activated, and the number of days before a discount redeemer can activate another discount. Lastly, enter your restaurants url and the your reservation url.
2. Identify a dedicated iPad, tablet, or smartphone that is wifi enabled, with the browser open to app.checkthisout.io/admin, and locate it next to your Point of Sale system or at your bar to redeem discounts. This will be the device your front of house staff use to redeem discounts
3. Create dedicated discount buttons in your POS for the new customer and repeat customer discount amounts configured in Settings/Referral Marketing, eg. CTO $20 off, CTO $10 off
4. Create a user profile to redeem discounts. In your Check This Out account, go to Settings/Team then click on Add Team Member. Be sure to give your team member a heads up before triggering a text for them to join your Check This Out account. Then enter the team member's phone number, select "Server" under Role, and click Send Invite. This process will create a user within your account that only has access to the redeem discount page. Share the login credentials for the "Server" account with your front-of-house staff.

5. Validate- If a customer states they have a Check This Out discount ask to see it on their phone to confirm the coupon amount and expiration date, then ask the customer for their phone number or to write it on the top of their check.
6. Redeem- Go to the Check This Out device next to your point of sale system, or open a browser window on your POS tablet, and enter the customer’s phone number. Click on "Check for Valid Discount" to confirm the customer's balance, then click "Redeem Discount" to return the balance to $0
7. Deduct- Go to your point of sale system and follow your POS operating instructions to deduct the amount of the Check This Out discount from the customer’s check using one the buttons created above or a manager approved discount for referrer credits. Print the check from your point of sale system and confirm that the Check This Out discount was deducted.

8. Complete your configurations from Step 1
9. In the left bar menu of your Check This Out account click Settings, then the Self Opt-in tab in the upper right
10. Enter a keyword that you want your customers to text to opt-in to your referral program and receive updates, eg. Love Nordic or Nordic rocks
11. Enter your QR code message, eg. I would like to join Joes referral program and receive updates
12. Click on Update Self Opt-in
13. Click on Generate Template. You can send this file to your professional printers to create check holder inserts, table tents, window decals, etc.
