In Next Field (CHECKD) you can export data to .csv files. Data in .csv format can be opened in Microsoft Excel and the data can be split into columns. You can export data pr. project, or export all items (tasks) regardless of which project they are connected to.

NB! A Mac will open .csv files automatically (Not PC), but if you are going to open the file in Microsoft Excel you must split the data correctly into columns.

In order to import a .csv file to Microsoft Excel and spilt data in to columns, you may follow these steps:

  1. Download the .csv file to your computer

  2. Open Microsoft Excel (not the file, but the application)

  3. Then click on the 'File' tab.

  4. Now select 'Open' to open a file in Excel.

  5. Choose the .csv file you downloaded from Next Field (CHECKD).

  6. All the information will be put in one column.

  7. To split the text into separate columns, first select column A, then click on the 'Data' tab and then use the function 'Text to columns'

  8. Now select 'Comma' as a delimiter and then click on 'Apply'

  9. All the data is now split in to columns, and you can now start to work with the data in Microsoft Excel.

NB! You can also use the function 'From text/CSV' if you Microsoft Excel version has this button in the Data pane.
