Wedding Timeline

If you're photographing a wedding, make sure to discuss the wedding timeline for the big day with your client! This will help you create a shot list!

​What is a Shot List?

A 'Shot List' is a term commonly used in the photography industry! It's essentially a checklist of every moment your client wants to capture on the day of the Photo Shoot!

Create Your Shot List

To start creating the Wedding Shot List, click on the Photo Shoot.

Plan Shot List

Then click the 'Plan Shot List' button under 'Photo Shoot Details'.

Adding Shots or Importing Templates

From there, you'll notice two options: '+ Add Shot' and 'Import Template'. To make a completely custom Shot List, click 'Add Shot'. Or to save yourself some time, you're welcome to use our Wedding Shot List Template! Just click 'Import Template' to get started!

After clicking the 'Import Template' button, our Wedding Template will appear for you to preview!

Expand List

To see what types of shots are included in each section, click the arrow on the right to expand the list.

Import Selected Templates

If there are only a few sections you'd like to add, just select those and click 'Import Selected Templates'.

Import All Templates

Or if you'd like to add everything, check every bubble and click 'Import All Templates'!

The template will then import into your Shot List!

Make Notes

You and your client can then add specific comments regarding each shot as reminders by clicking the conversation bubbles.

Delete Shots

If you need to remove a shot, you can easily do so using the trash icon, and then click 'Yes' in the pop up to confirm deletion!

Add Custom Shots

If you'd rather create your own shot list completely from scratch, or add some custom shots to an existing template, just click 'Add Shot'!

Add Shot

After clicking '+ Add Shot', a pop-up will appear where you can name the shot and the location. Click 'Done' to confirm, and a shot will be added!

Check Things Off!

On the day of the Wedding, use the Shot List to help remind you of what shots you need to take, and check them off as you go!
