βHow Should I Organize My Images Using Dropbox?
Once you've picked a cloud storage service, you can create a folder structure to help keep your client's images organized!
Here's a suggested folder structure you can use (with examples from Dropbox):
After making a Dropbox account, create a main folder by clicking 'Create'.
Then click 'Folder' in the menu.
Name this folder "Cheezoo" and click 'Create' to make it! This will be the main folder for all of the images for your Cheezoo clients!
While within that main 'Cheezoo' folder, create a new folder for the current year (ex: 2024) by clicking 'Create'.
Then click 'Folder' in the menu.
You can create new folders for each year.
Within this "2024" folder, you'll create new folders that are named after your clients! To make a new client folder, click 'Create'.
Then choose 'Folder' from the menu.
When creating these client folders, you'll want to follow a naming convention to help keep them in the correct order. An example of a naming convention you could use is: YEAR-MONTH-DAY - CLIENT NAME (ie: 2024-05-02 - Sarah Barnes).
How Do I Upload My Images?
Once you've finished creating the folder structure, you can then upload your images to their respective client folders! While within a client folder, click 'Upload'.
Then click 'Photo Library' from the menu.
This will take you to the camera roll on your phone. Just select the images you'd like to add to the client folder on Dropbox, then click 'Add' to confirm!
You'll then see your images begin to upload to the folder.
Once all of your images have successfully uploaded, you'll see a confirmation near the bottom of the screen!
And you'll be able to see all images that were uploaded to the client folder!
And that's it! You can rinse and repeat these steps as needed until all of your clients' images have been backed up to Dropbox!
