How to report an incident within the Cherub member community and what violates our Terms of Service

Updated over 8 months ago

We rely on our members to ensure Cherub is a trusted environment for members who are investors or founders, and therefore require members to comply with our Terms of Service.

To enforce this requirement, we have a policy to remove members or accounts who violate any of our Terms of Service.

Reporting a member violation

If you feel a member or account may be in violation, please submit a report using this link.

In order to substantiate your claim, we will need documentation that supports your report such as correspondence, third party statements, or screenshots that document the violation.

Our team will evaluate the report which may take several days. You will be notified by email of our decision.

If we find a member to be in violation of our Terms of Service, we will notify the member of the violation and their membership termination.

The member will have 3 business days to appeal. Our team will review the appeal and make a final determination with respect to membership.

Terminating membership

There are 3 main reasons why we might remove a member from our community:

  1. Misrepresentation of your affiliation to an entity or your capabilities

    For instance:

    1. If you are purporting to be an accredited investor but do not meet SEC accreditation requirements;

    2. Or you claim to have the authority to make decisions on behalf of an entity that you do not represent;

    3. Or saying you work at a company when there is no contract or employment agreement in place;

    4. Or claiming you have deep expertise in a field in which you do not have experience

  2. Spamming or soliciting your services to our members

    For instance:

    1. If you are mining our database for personal information;

    2. Or you are requesting intros to members in order to sell your services;

    3. Or you are repeatedly contacting members either on or off our platform who do not express interest in connecting

  3. Harassment, inappropriate behavior or misconduct

    For instance:

    1. If it is found that you have not conducted yourself in an ethical or appropriate manner either outside or within our service

    2. Or you pressure, coerce, intimidate or make unwanted advances towards another member

    3. Or you make claims to our members or post content using our service that is libelous, defamatory, bigoted, fraudulent or deceptive;

If you breach any of these Terms, we have the right to suspend or disable your access to or use of the Service.
