A Super Admin account is the highest-level account type in the Chowbus POS system. It allows users to perform critical administrative tasks and manage key system settings.
Below is detailed information about Super Admin accounts, including definition, permissions, identity verification, and upgrade process.
Definition and Permissions of a Super Admin Account
A Super Admin account has the following permissions in the Chowbus POS dashboard:
Access and download tax forms, such as the 1099-K
Modify critical settings, including updating payout/bank account information
Manage security settings, such as verification code (2FA) configurations
Manage staff permissions, including updating employee access levels
By default, we will upgrade the contract email address to a Super Admin account.
If you would like to assign Super Admin access to a different email, a security verification process is required. Once the verification is completed, the designated account can be upgraded.
How to Check if You Are a Super Admin
To confirm whether you have Super Admin access, please follow these steps:
Log in to the Chowbus POS web dashboard
Check the account role displayed in the top-right corner
If it shows “Super Admin”, you already have full permissions
If it shows “Restaurant Owner” or another role, you are not a Super Admin
If you are the actual owner of the restaurant but do not have Super Admin access, please follow the upgrade process below.
How to Upgrade to a Super Admin Account
If there is currently no Super Admin account for your restaurant, you can request an upgrade by:
