How to cancel your subscription

How to cancel your subscription to Ciao via the App Store, Google Play, or Stripe (including Telegram mini-app purchases).

If you’ve recently been granted lifetime premium access (or simply want to stop renewing your paid plan), you may need to cancel your current subscription to avoid future charges. Canceling your subscription will not remove your premium access if you’ve been upgraded to lifetime.


🔵 Apple App Store

If you subscribed through Apple/iOS:

Steps:

  1. Open Settings on your iPhone

  2. Tap your name (Apple ID)

  3. Tap Subscriptions

  4. Select Ciao

  5. Tap Cancel Subscription

Note: Apple handles billing directly. If you’re charged after canceling, contact Apple Support—Ciao cannot process refunds for App Store payments.


🟢 Google Play Store

If you subscribed through Google Play / Android:

Steps:

  1. Open the Google Play Store app

  2. Tap your profile icon → Payments & Subscriptions

  3. Tap Subscriptions

  4. Select Ciao

  5. Tap Cancel Subscription

Make sure you’re signed into the same Google account that you used to subscribe.


⚪ Stripe / Telegram Mini-App

You’re likely billed via Stripe if:

  • You originally purchased through the Telegram mini-app

  • You don’t see an active subscription in Apple/Google

To cancel your Stripe subscription:

  1. Enter the email address you used at checkout

  2. You’ll receive a login link from Stripe

  3. Open the portal and click Cancel Subscription

Tip: The email you used in Telegram may be different from the email you set in Ciao to be contacted by other users from. Try the address you entered during checkout.

If you’re unsure which email you used, message us in-app and we can help look it up.


💡 What happens after cancellation?

  • Your subscription stays active until the end of your current billing period.

  • If you have lifetime access, premium stays unlocked indefinitely even after cancellation.

  • You won’t be charged again.
