Yes — in two ways. CicloZone's standard connection is Bluetooth (BLE — Bluetooth Low Energy), where riders connect their own bike straight from the app. For studios whose bikes broadcast over ANT+, CicloZone can also capture that data using a Wasp antenna, so an ANT+ studio can run the leaderboard without riders connecting anything.
Bluetooth — the standard setup
By default, each rider connects their own bike over BLE FTMS (the international Bluetooth standard for fitness equipment). It's the simplest option:
No extra hardware — every modern iPhone and Android already has Bluetooth, so there's nothing to install in the studio.
One connection carries power, cadence, heart rate and resistance.
Vendor-neutral — works across Stages, Matrix, Life Fitness, Schwinn, Keiser M3i, Zycle, Wahoo, BodyBike, Energym and many others.
ANT+ with a Wasp antenna — studio setup
ANT+ is a wireless technology like Bluetooth, but riders don't connect to anything. The bikes broadcast their data, and a Wasp (an ANT+ receiver antenna) picks up the signals and sends them to the hub for the leaderboard.
Bike numbers are mapped at install. We scan every bike during setup, so each rider shows on the leaderboard by their bike number — ride Bike 24 and you appear as Bike 24.
No onboarding needed. Adaptive FTP fine-tunes the class for each rider automatically.
Bikes only for now. The Wasp reads bike data (power and cadence). ANT+ heart-rate straps aren't supported yet.
What you need: a Wasp antenna, on the same network as the hub.
This is a studio setup we handle with you. For more detail, or to set it up for your studio, email hello@ciclozone.com.
What about Technogym?
Technogym bikes can't connect over Bluetooth — their Bluetooth is a closed ecosystem. But ANT+ is a separate broadcast: where Technogym bikes send out a standard ANT+ signal (as some models do), the Wasp setup above may be able to read them. It depends on the exact model, so tell us what you have and we'll check — email hello@ciclozone.com.
