An ISA allowance is set each tax year, letting you know how much money you can add to your ISA.

The tax year runs from 6th April in any given year to 5th April the following year.

The ISA allowance for the 2023-24 tax year is £20,000.

If you add more money to your CIRCA5000 than our ISA allowance permits, we will take this as an instruction from you to open a General Investment Account and invest those funds in the same mixture and proportion of assets as in your ISA.

Please note: if you also hold other types of ISA elsewhere, e.g. a Cash ISA with your bank, you can only contribute up to the ISA allowance per tax year across all of your ISAs. It's your responsibility to ensure you don't exceed your ISA allowance.
