What is "Open-Source" and why does it matter for my kit?

"Open-source" means that the designs, code, and schematics for our kits are publicly available for anyone to view, modify, and learn from.

Why this matters for you:

  • Learn deeper: You can study exactly how your kit works at the hardware and software level β€” not just follow instructions, but truly understand the engineering.

  • Customize freely: Want to add features, change the code, or modify the design? Go for it! The source code and schematics are yours to tinker with.

  • Community support: Other makers around the world can build on our designs and share their projects, creating a growing library of ideas and improvements.

Find all our open-source resources on our GitHub page.
