Coverage and Media Type Volume Charts

Mentions Benchmark

Evaluate changes in mention volume and assess the impact of your campaigns and strategies during these timeframes.

Mentions Timeframe Benchmark

Compare the volume of the current period to that of the previous period.

Desktop vs. Mobile Readership

A pie chart illustrating the distribution of readership between desktop and mobile devices.

Coverage Volume & Stock Price

Compares stock exchange fluctuations with media coverage volume to analyze the relationship between them.

Coverage by Media Type

Total Mentions by media type over the selected coverage period.

Potential Audience Reach

Cumulative potential audience reach by media type for the selected coverage period. Calculated by only adding the reach for items once per source per day aiming to provide an accurate figure that avoids overly inflated charts.

Total Audience Reach (Group Syndication)

Syndicated cumulative total audience reach by media type for the selected coverage period.

When group syndications are turned on for the Instant Insights dashboard, all syndicated news coverage will be counted as one item. The platform will take the syndication with the highest Potential Audience Reach figure to add towards the calculated figure.

A high-level snapshot of activity within a Mention Stream, shows:

  • Total Mentions

  • Audience Reach

  • Advertising Value Equivalency

  • Total Social Shares

  • Sentiment

Sentiment Charts

Sentiment Breakdown

Percentage of positive, trending positive, neutral, trending negative and negative coverage using CisionOne’s automated sentiment analysis/manually adjusted sentiment.

Sentiment Timeline

Chart shows total negative (trending and negative combined), total positive (trending and positive combined), and total neutral coverage over the date range selected, as rated by a third-party automated sentiment tool.

Geography Charts

Geographic Spread by City (Map)

Displays content based on the location of the source. Circle size indicates the volume of coverage within that area. Cities data excludes state, national and international content.

Geographic Spread by City (Chart)

Bar chart indicates the volume of coverage within each city. Data excludes state, national and international content up to 8 cities.

Geographic Spread by Region (Map)

Displays content based on the location of each source within a region. Circle size indicates the volume of coverage within each region.

Bar chart indicates the volume of coverage within each region.

Displays content based on the location of the source. Circle size indicates the volume of coverage within that area. State data excludes national and international content.

Leading Organisation

The most frequently mentioned organisations within the Mention Stream. Font size indicates the frequency of the keyword by volume. Click on a keyword in the chart to display coverage of that keyword in the Mention Stream.

Referral Coverage & Traffic Timeline

A breakdown of website traffic referred by online coverage in this Mention Stream.

React Score Timeline

Chart shows Average React Scores over the selected period of time including Overall React Score, Harm, Controversy, Spam and Emotionality as calculated by our AI machine learning models.

React Score Breakdown

A breakdown of mentions for low, moderate and high react scores for your chosen mention streams.

Themes

Themes, or often referred to as a Word Cloud, display the most frequently mentioned keywords found within a Mention Stream. Font size indicates the frequency of the keyword by volume. Click on a keyword in the chart to display coverage of that keyword in the Mention Stream.

The color of the words in the widget will match the color attached to the mention stream. To change the color of your mention stream go to the settings of your stream.

Visualises your outreach activities alongside media coverage over time.

Media Outreach Performance

This chart provides a clear overview of how successful your media outreach efforts are with information on Opens and Clicks.

Top Articles

Highlights the most impactful articles related to your outreach by AVE and Audience data.

Top Engaged Contacts

Identifies the contacts that are most engaged with your outreach efforts.

Social Insights Summary

Provides a concise overview of a Social Stream’s performance, shows:

  • Total Social Mentions

Outreach Insights Summary

Summaries the performance of media releases and pitches, shows:
