In Citera, each website or brand you track is a brand (shown as Projects on the plan cards in the app). Your first brand is created during onboarding. Everything in Citera, including prompts, scans, content, audits and integrations, is organized per brand.
What's in a brand profile
Open Settings → Brand Profile to review:
Identity: brand name, logo, domain, language, and alternate names or spellings that help AI find your brand
Additional domains: other domains Citera should track for citation coverage
Business context: what the brand does, who it serves and what sets it apart. You can use Auto-fill with AI and then edit
Competitors and topics: brands you compete with in AI answers and the topics Citera monitors
Market: worldwide, a country, or specific cities and regions
Keep this accurate. It drives prompt generation, competitor analysis and the content the agent writes.
Tips for a strong setup
Use one primary brand, three to five direct competitors and the market where you currently sell. You can expand later.
Add translated names or common misspellings of your brand.
Currently, one language applies to all markets for a brand. Per-country languages are marked as coming soon.
Adding more brands
The number of brands you can track depends on your plan (see Citera plans at a glance). To add another brand, use the brand selector in the app. If you have reached your limit, Citera will prompt you to upgrade.
Switching between brands
Use the brand selector in the sidebar. Pages such as the website audit and settings switch with the selected brand. Settings are per brand, so configure each one separately.
Deleting a brand
You can remove brands from the brands list. Deleting a brand permanently removes it and its associated data, and this cannot be undone.
