Citera's autopilot is an AI agent that turns visibility gaps into finished work instead of another task list. It runs in a continuous loop.
The loop
Discover. Monitor your tracked prompts, AI answers, citations, sources, competitors, sentiment and visibility gaps.
Prioritize. Rank opportunities by the size of the gap, buyer relevance, competitor advantage, source evidence, likely impact and the work required.
Execute. Create or update content, distribute it, strengthen authority signals and prepare or apply approved website changes.
Measure. Re-scan AI models and feed results back into the next cycle.
What the agent works on
Owned content: researches, writes, publishes, optimizes and refreshes blogs, articles and guides
Website improvements: finds high-priority page issues and shows the fix; on Scale and above, fixes can be applied to your CMS
Distribution: on Scale and above, prepares and publishes social posts to connected channels
Authority: identifies work that strengthens citations, backlinks, reviews and source coverage
Product pages: on Scale and above, optimizes product pages so AI shopping experiences can surface them
What is included depends on your plan. See Citera plans at a glance.
Agent jobs
An agent job is a unit of work completed by Citera's workflows, such as researching, drafting, updating, distributing or preparing an approved action. Plans include different amounts of agent capacity.
You stay in control
Autopilot controls publishing, not writing. If you switch autopilot off, Citera keeps writing drafts on schedule, but they wait for your approval instead of going live. You can set different policies for different kinds of work. See Approval controls: autopilot, draft-only and manual publishing.
The agent learns from your edits
When you edit, deny, remove or approve content, the agent takes that into account in future work. You can also give it standing instructions in the Knowledge Base.
