The Website page shows your site the way an AI assistant reads it. Citera crawls your site and checks whether assistants can read, understand and quote your pages.
Scores
Overall score (0 to 100): how well your site is set up for AI search, averaged across crawled pages. Treat it as a direction, not a grade.
Technical: status codes, canonicals, sitemap membership, page speed, titles and security headers. If this is broken, nothing else matters.
AEO: whether a readable page is likely to be cited: AI crawler access, llms.txt, structured data and whether content is substantial enough to quote.

How often it runs
Audits re-run automatically every seven days. After shipping fixes, use the audit button to force a fresh crawl so your score catches up immediately.
Working through issues
Pages are listed worst first by issue count. Sort by Technical or AEO to focus on one type of problem.
Red badges mean at least one error; amber means warnings only.
Open a page to see each issue and its fix.
Your sitemap decides which pages are crawled. Trim it if the crawl picks up cart pages, filters or other URLs you don't want ranked.
Applying fixes
Starter: shows every issue and its fix (view only). You or your developer apply them.
Scale and Custom: can push recommended fixes to your connected CMS in one click.
Some changes can't be written automatically, for example text stored in a page builder or custom fields. In those cases Citera shows the suggested text to paste in manually.
robots.txt and llms.txt
Citera can show your live robots.txt and llms.txt, or draft them from the pages it crawled. You place these files on your own server. See robots.txt, llms.txt and AI crawlers.
