Citera tracks share of voice and visibility against your competitors by prompt, model, market and scan period. Open Analytics → Competitors.
Two tables
Prompts table (one row per prompt):
Status: Gap (competitors appeared and you didn't), Shared (both appeared) or You win (only you appeared). Sort by this to find work worth doing.
Winning competitors: brands mentioned in the answer. Click one to filter.
Your position: where you appeared in the answer, counting from the top.
Sentiment: how you were framed in that answer.
Total scans, Engines, Sources, Last seen: how much evidence there is, which models answered, which domains were cited and how fresh the row is.
Competitor table (one row per brand):
Prompts: how many of your tracked prompts the brand appeared in
Gap vs You: the visibility difference (red means they lead, green means you do)
DR: Domain Rating from Ahrefs (0 to 100), refreshed monthly
Category SOV: the brand's share of all brand mentions in the period
Models, Type, Sources: where they appear, how they're classified (you can correct it) and which domains back their mentions
Click any row for a head-to-head comparison: prompt coverage, share of voice, engine reach, and the prompts they win, you share and you win.
Adding competitors
Competitors come from onboarding, your Brand Profile and brands Citera discovers in your answers. To add one manually, type its name in the Competitors view. Discovered competitors are often the most interesting.
Acting on gaps
A gap is a prompt where a competitor is mentioned and you aren't. Each gap is effectively a content brief. Check the sources cited for competitors: domains that keep appearing are the ones worth writing for, or getting listed on.
