What we collect
Information you provide: for example your name, company name, phone number, billing and payment details, and anything you submit in forms, chat, email or the app.
Technical data collected automatically: IP address, device and browser type, operating system, pages viewed and interactions, time of access and referring source. This is used for security, performance, analytics and abuse prevention.

How we use it
To provide and operate the service, authenticate accounts, communicate with you and provide support, improve functionality, monitor security and prevent fraud, meet legal obligations, and send marketing where permitted. We don't make automated decisions with legal or similarly significant effects.
Sharing
We do not sell, rent or trade personal data. We share data only with carefully selected processors, for hosting and infrastructure, analytics, customer support systems and payment processing, all bound by contractual data protection obligations, or where required by law.
Where data is processed
Data may be processed outside Sweden or the EU. When data is transferred outside the EU/EEA, appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses are applied.
Your content and data
You keep ownership of the data and content you submit. You give Citera a license to use it only to provide, maintain and improve the service. Citera may use anonymized, aggregated data that doesn't identify you or any individual for analytics, benchmarking and product improvement.
Customer references
Under our Terms, Citera may list your company name and logo as a customer. You can revoke this at any time with written notice to contact@citeralabs.ai, and we'll remove it within 30 days.
Security
We use technical and organizational safeguards, including encryption where appropriate, access controls and least privilege, monitoring and logging, and regular security reviews. Integration keys are stored in a secure vault, and for some integrations, such as Framer, the key is deleted when you disconnect. No system is entirely secure, so please protect your login and use Log out everywhere if you suspect a problem.
Connected accounts
Citera needs only the access required for the workflows you choose. You decide which systems to connect and which actions are allowed, and you can disconnect integrations at any time.
Retention
Personal data is kept only as long as needed for the purposes in the Privacy Policy or as required by law, then securely deleted or anonymized. Visibility data history depends on your plan.
