If you would like to report a possible City Code violation, you may:

Email us.

Call us at 727-369-5668

Visit us at the Neighborhood Services Department office, located at 7780 60th Street (Monday – Friday, 8am-5pm).

Information we receive is considered a public record and is subject to disclosure under Florida law. If you do not want your information released in response to a public records request, do not provide it to the City.

Complaints received outside regular business hours will be forwarded to the assigned Community Compliance Specialist the following work day.

If an immediate response is required at night or on the weekend, such as for noise nuisances, call the Police Department at their non-emergency number:  727-369-7864

If I file a complaint, can I remain anonymous?

Yes, you can remain anonymous. However, by remaining anonymous the assigned Community Compliance Specialist will be unable to follow up with you. If you decide to remain anonymous, and later you'd like an update, please contact the assigned Specialist directly.

I have made complaints before, but nothing was ever done about it. Why is that?

There are several reasons why it might appear that nothing is being done to address your complaint:

The complaint may not be a violation of a City code - differences in opinions or lifestyles do not always equal a code violation;

The time frame given for compliance may not have expired yet - depending on the nature of the violation, an extension may have been given (sometimes up to 30 days) to correct the violation;

There may be a Code Enforcement Board or Special Magistrate hearing scheduled or pending on the violation;

The violation may have already had a hearing and may be running a daily fine/lien due to continued non-compliance; or

The original City code violation may have come into compliance, but has now reoccurred.

You can always contact the assigned Community Compliance Specialist for an update or status report.
