To access the CityPay wallet, you need to complete the registration and verification process, which ensures secure and full access to all services.
Verification is carried out through our partner platform, Sumsub, which automatically checks your documents, biometric data, and financial profile.
Sumsub complies with GDPR and ISO standards and is an essential part of CityPay’s security system.
To begin registration, simply select the country whose services you want to use and follow the on-screen instructions.
Registering on CityPay using Email:
Entering Your Email: In the email field, enter your valid email address.
Creating a Password: Create a secure password that meets the following requirements:
At least 8 characters
Both uppercase and lowercase Latin letters
At least one number
At least one special character (e.g., !, %, &, #, $, *, +, -, ., /, :, <, >, =, ?, @, ^, _, `, {, |, }, ~)
Repeat Password: In the "Repeat Password" field, re-enter the same password exactly. To check if the passwords match, you can use the "eye" icon next to the field to view the entered text.
"Register" Button: After filling in all required fields and agreeing to the terms, click the blue "Register" button.
OTP Validation: A 4-digit OTP (One-Time Password) code will be sent to the email address you provided. Enter this code in the designated field to confirm your email address.
Registration Complete: Once the OTP is successfully validated, your registration will be complete and you will proceed to the verification process.
Verification includes uploading your ID or passport documents and completing the KYC questionnaire, which covers your personal information, financial situation, and the purpose of your transactions.
Submitting an Identification Document:
First, a dropdown list will appear on the screen. Select the country that issued your document.
Next, choose the type of document:
ID Card
Passport
Click "Continue."
After reviewing the instructions for uploading or taking a photo, confirm access to your camera.
Once you allow camera access, you’ll be directed to the document verification page.
An instruction will appear on the screen: "Please make sure the document is clearly visible and readable in the camera."
Hold your ID card or passport in front of the camera so that all details are clearly visible.
Follow the on-screen instructions to show both the front and back of the document, or choose the option to upload the document.
After successfully submitting your document, the system will prompt you to complete the face recognition process.
Face Recognition Process:
Place your face in front of the camera and follow the instructions shown on the screen. For example, the system may ask you to turn your head, smile, or perform another simple action.
Make sure your face is clearly visible and that you are in a well-lit environment.
Be sure to remove any accessories such as hats, glasses, or face masks.
In the next step, please complete the KYC questionnaire.

Follow the instructions on the screen and make sure all fields are filled out accurately and completely.
After successfully completing all the required steps, your verification application will be submitted to CityPay for review.
The review time varies for each case, so please wait patiently for a notification about your verification status.
If your verification is successful, you will receive a confirmation message, after which you will have access to all CityPay services.
If your verification is denied, CityPay will provide you with an explanation via a notification.
Note: If a user interrupts the verification process (for example, by not completing the financial questionnaire), they need to resume the process on the same day. Otherwise, the user will have to repeat the first stage of verification - confirming their identity again from the beginning.
