What is a crypto address?

Updated over 4 weeks ago

A crypto address is your wallet’s unique code/encrypted identifier, which you need in order to receive or send crypto assets. It is a long combination of numbers and letters.

You can use an address in two ways:

  • Copy and paste it into the wallet or exchange from which the crypto is being sent.

  • Scan the QR code, which will automatically display your address in another wallet or exchange.

Each crypto asset has its own unique address within a specific network.

⚠️ Always double-check the address and the selected network, because crypto sent or received incorrectly cannot be recovered.
