How can I know the recipient address is correct?

Updated over a month ago

Before sending any crypto, it is 100% your responsibility to make sure that the recipient’s wallet address is correct.

Important to know:

  • Every crypto address is unique to a specific wallet and network (for example, TRON, TON, or Bitcoin).

  • If you send coins to the wrong address or to the wrong network, the funds cannot be reversed or recovered - even by CityPay.

  • Always double-check the full wallet address and selected network before confirming your transaction.

Our recommendation:

  • Copy the address directly (don’t type it manually).

  • Verify at least the first and last few characters of the address.

  • Make sure the network matches (for example, TRC20 → TRC20).

⚠️ CityPay cannot cancel or refund a transaction once it’s confirmed on the blockchain, so please check carefully before sending.
