Why isn't the calendar showing up on Firefox?

Occasionally, a browser or third-party ad blocker may have overly strict privacy settings that inadvertently prevent dynamic content from being displayed on a webpage. These settings would be turned on intended to target advertisements specifically but can still affect how content is rendered.

Here are a few reasons why this happens:

  1. Enhanced Tracking Protection: Firefox's private browsing mode blocks tracking cookies and other web trackers by default. Some websites rely on these trackers for content delivery, so blocking them can prevent certain elements from loading.

  2. Ad Blocking: Private browsing mode also blocks many ads and pop-ups, which might cause issues if a website’s content is dependent on these elements.

  3. Strict Content Blocking: Firefox may block certain scripts or resources that are deemed potentially unsafe. This can include third-party content, which some websites use to display images, videos, or interactive features.

  4. Cache and Cookie Restrictions: Private browsing mode doesn’t store cache, cookies, or other local data. Some websites might rely on these to function correctly, so their absence can lead to loading issues.

When you adjust your browser or ad blocker settings, you may receive a warning indicating that the changes could disrupt the functionality of certain website features. If you encounter such a warning, it could be the reason why our portal is not displaying correctly.

To resolve this issue, you have two options:

  1. Adjust Your Privacy Settings: Modify your browser or ad blocker settings to reduce their strictness, which may resolve the issue with dynamic content.

  2. Add Our Site as a Trusted Exception: Configure your browser or ad blocker to recognize CitySpark as a trusted site. This action can help ensure that our portal’s content is not inadvertently blocked.
