Under the NDIS you have choice and control over the providers you choose to deliver the services you are funded for. Civic is one of those service providers, delivering services such as support coordination, supported independent living, specialist disability accommodation, employment and social programs. Which provider you choose is up to you - and what is important to you, may be different for someone else. The most important thing is to find a provider that not only offers the services you are looking for in your area, but that feels like a good fit for you.

When you’re thinking about choosing your service provider, you may want to ask or think about some of these questions.

  • Do they offer the services you are looking for in your area?

  • Do they take into consideration your preferences for support and how it is delivered?

  • What are their values as an organisation?

  • How do they measure quality?

  • What will happen if you're unhappy with anything?

  • Can you pick a different support worker if you feel the one you have is not a good fit for me?

  • Can you come and see where the services are delivered e.g. employment, day services etc.

If you don’t feel happy with any of these elements, the service provider may not be right for you.
