Overview

Claap's MCP (Model Context Protocol) Server integration allows you to connect your Claap data directly to Claude.ai. Once connected, you can ask Claude questions about your meeting recordings, contacts, company data, and deals, and Claude will automatically retrieve the relevant data from your Claap workspace to provide accurate, personalized responses.

In this article you will learn how to add Claap's MCP Server to your set of Claude.ai connectors.

Available Tools and Features

Once connected, the Claap MCP server provides Claude.ai with access to the following tools:

  • List Workspaces: View all Claap workspaces you have access to

  • Search Companies: Find company information in your workspace

  • Search Contacts: Locate contacts and external contacts in your workspace

  • Search Deals: Query your deal database in your workspace with various filters and sorting options

  • Search Meeting Recordings: Perform semantic or keyword searches on your meeting transcripts and recordings

Using the Integration

After successful connection, you can start chatting with Claude.ai normally. When you ask questions related to your Claap data, Claude will automatically use the appropriate MCP tools to retrieve relevant information from your workspace.

Example queries you can try:

  • "Show me my recent meeting recordings about the Q4 project"

  • "Find contacts from ABC Company"

  • "What deals are currently in the negotiation stage?"

  • "Search for meetings where competitors were mentioned"

Troubleshooting

Connection Issues:

  • Ensure you have a paid Claap subscription

  • Verify that the MCP server URL is entered correctly: https://api.claap.io/mcp

  • Try refreshing your browser and attempting the connection again

Authorization Problems:

  • Make sure pop-ups are enabled in your browser for both Claude.ai and Claap

  • Clear your browser cache and cookies if the authorization page doesn't load properly

  • Ensure you're logged into the correct Claap and Claude.ai accounts

Tools Not Working:

  • Verify that the Claap connector shows as "Connected" in your Claude.ai settings

  • Check that your Claap workspace contains the data you're trying to access

  • Try disconnecting and reconnecting the integration if queries aren't returning expected results
