Roles for collaboration
Visitors are one-time & unregistered collaborators who can access the content of a claap or a topic but cannot share it with other users and use certain features. Visitors can only access public resources. Visitors are not named nor visible on the claaps and topics.
Guests are external and occasional collaborators who can collaborate on shared claaps and topics, when invited by email. They have access to the content of the claap or topic, and can use collaborative features. Guests can access particular resources but they are not members of your workspace. Guests are named and visible on the claaps and topics as they are always registered.
Members are frequent and registered collaborators, who have access to all features in your plan, and can both create and edit claaps & topics in the workspace. Members are named and visible on the claaps and topics as they are registered. They can access all team-shared topics.
Roles on claaps
Roles on claaps can be received directly by invitation or indirectly through the parent topic. To configure your claap access level, click on the claap’s Share button.
Claap supports 2 roles:
Full access allows users to collaborate in the claap, edit and delete it, and share it with other users.
Can comment allows users to view the claap and leave comments visible to other users on the claap.
💡 Any visitor accessing a public claap can leave a comment and automatically become a guest. Claap doesn’t currently support the View only mode.
Roles on topics
Roles on topics can be received directly by invitation or indirectly through the team-shared topic. To configure your topic access level, click on the topic’s
Claap supports 2 roles:
Full accessallows users to collaborate and add new claaps in the topic, edit and delete it, and share it with other users.
Can commentallows users to view the topic and leave comments in its children claaps.
Roles in workspaces
Admins are members with extended rights to manage users, access rights settings, and other workspace settings.. They don’t receive any special level of access to other users' content. There can be multiple Admins per team.
Members are users who were invited to a team and can access all team-shared topics and claaps as well as create their own resources. On paid plans, members always occupy a license in your team.
[Guests] are users who were invited directly to claaps or topics via email, but not to the workspace itself. They can access the claaps and topics but can't edit them or create their own ones.
Frequently asked questions
What access level will my invitees get?
If you invite users as members of your workspace, they will be able to see all team-shared topics and claaps. If you invite them to a particular topic or claap without adding to the workspace, they will only access this resource.
How can I add another Admin to my team?
Follow these steps. Note that only Admins can promote other users to the Admin role.
