How to edit the wording in your self-service portal

Learn how to change headers and descriptions in your self-service portal to match your tone.

Select your self-service portal

Go to your list of self-service portals and choose the one you want to edit.


Find the screen you want to change

In most cases, you’ll see a picture on the right-hand side showing which screen you are working with.


Each screen has:

  • A header (title)

  • A subtitle (description)

General settings

In the General settings, you can change:

  • The starting screen

  • The channel screen


Channel settings

In the Channel settings, you can edit:

  • The flow selection

  • The title for each issue type

Flow settings

In the Flow settings, you can edit all wording related to each specific flow.
Each flow follows the same structure:

  • Header (title)

  • Subtitle (description)

If a field requires validation and can throw an error, you will also see a field where you can edit the error message.
