Login preferences are located just underneath your class roster in your class settings. The login preferences allow you to change the how your students login and what credentials are required.

The dedicated devices option indicates that students use their own devices or are assigned the same device for practice. As in, students will use the same device to practice with ClassHero. When this setting is on it will save the student's login information on that device for future use.

This setting is best used for remote learning or assigned devices and is automatically turned on.

The shared devices option indicates that students are sharing devices in a classroom setting. It won't save student's login credentials, they will need to re-login each time they practice.

Authentication type applies only to students logging in directly to the student app, rather than authenticating via ClassLink or Clever.

The authentication type setting is used to edit what such students need to login to your ClassHero class. By default, only the student's class pin will be required to login.
