ClassTag understands the needs of District Leaders or Administrators to have a list of families already connected to ClassTag and how active or inactive they are and export the data to a CSV file. This can all be done on a newly launched District-Wide Feature that we call "Family Engagement Report" which is available for all our ClassTag Connect users.

Family Engagement Report shows the connection health status for a list of families over time. It contains the list of families and how active or inactive they are over a period of time. Reports can be filtered to show the data on a District level, School level, or Classroom level and can be exported to a CSV file.

Here's a quick video about the Family Engagement Report:

How to see the Family Engagement Report

1. Make sure that you’re on the District Page. A good indicator that you’re looking at the District Page is the dark blue banner on top.

2. If you’re not sure that you’re on the District Page, click on the Hamburger menu.

3. Click your District's name.

4. Click Reports. It will open another window to show the reports.

5. Click the third icon on the left side panel.

A couple of notes:

  • For the Communications column, the bell indicates the # of Events and the horn indicates the # of Announcements sent to the student’s parents/guardians.

  • For the Connection Health column, please refer to the Family Engagement Report Definition of Terms.

Exporting the Family Engagement Report

The list of families will be shown below the graph based on the filters that were used. By default, it will show the first 10 rows. It can be changed to show 25 or 50 rows by clicking on the drop-down menu on the lower left side.

To export the report to a CSV file, click the Export CSV file on the bottom right-hand side corner. It will download the file automatically and also send an email to your email address with the link to download the file that you can click on.
