School Teachers sometimes only have one parent’s contact information handy when they create a class on ClassTag. In these cases, unless a co-parent is added, notifications will only get sent to one parent/guardian.

To remedy this, you can add a co-parent or guardian so they also receive notifications. 

ADDING A CO-PARENT

1. Click the three lines on the upper left side and then click on the gear icon. 

2. Please click the “My Family” tab and tick the checkbox before the child’s name.

3. Look for the box below the “Invite a co-parent by entering email or mobile phone number” and type the co-parent’s information there. Change the default language from “English” to the co-parent’s preferred language if needed and then click “Done”.

4. The co-parent will receive an email or SMS to join the class. Here’s a sample of what they’ll receive.

5. After the co-parent has created an account, he/she can see your child’s class on ClassTag and receive notifications as well.

REMOVING A CO-PARENT

If the co-parent hasn’t created any account yet, you can delete the co-parent account by clicking on the “Delete” button. 

1. Click the three lines on the upper left side and then click on the gear icon. 

2. Go to “My Family” tab and click the “Delete” button.

3. If the co-parent has already created an account, you won’t be able to remove him/her from the list. If there’s still a need to remove the co-parent from your child’s profile, please get in touch with the teacher or send us an email at support@classtag.com.
