If you're using Clearit USA to clear your shipment, you’ll need to ask your carrier to release the shipping documents (such as the commercial invoice and air waybill) to us. Here’s how:

1) Contact the Carrier's Brokerage Department

Use one of the following methods depending on the carrier:

UPS

πŸ“ž Call: 1-800-782-5877

πŸ’» Ask them to "Release the shipping documents for [Tracking Number] to Clearit USA at info@clearitusa.com."

FedEx

πŸ“ž Call: 1-800-463-3339

πŸ“ƒ Ask for the Brokerage and Clearance Department, and request a Broker Release Authorization (BRA) form (FedEx may require a signed release letter) You can request a template from FedEx.

πŸ’» Ask the agent where to send the BRA form once completed.

DHL

πŸ“ž Call: 1-800-225-5345

πŸ’» Ask the agent where to send a Customs Broker Authorization Letter for Clearit USA

2) Provide Written Authorization (if required)

Some carriers may ask you to complete a Broker Release Authorization or Power of Attorney to confirm you're authorizing Clearit USA to clear the shipment.

Make sure to include:

πŸ” Tracking number

☎️ Clearit USA’s name and contact information

πŸ–‹οΈ Your signature and date

πŸ“„ Company letterhead (if applicable)

3) Confirm the Documents Have Been Sent

Once authorization is sent, follow up with the carrier to ensure:

βœ”οΈ They’ve updated the file

πŸ‘ We’ve received them and can proceed with clearance

4) Notify Clearit

Let us know:
