Manually Transferring Leads to Users

Use the transfer lead feature to move leads between users, and branch locations, with ease.

Overview

The manual transfer feature allows users and administrators to reassign leads between different users, branches, or corporate levels directly from the Lead Manager Screen or Lead Details screen. This is essential for managing workload distribution, handling territory changes, or correcting lead assignments.

Key Functionalities

How to Transfer Leads

From Lead Manager Screen

  1. From the My Leads screen, select one or more leads by checking the checkbox or clicking on the lead line


  2. Click the Transfer button that becomes available when leads are selected

  3. In the Transfer slide-out panel:

    • Leave Assign to Me selected to transfer leads to yourself, OR

    • Use the Search field to find specific recipients, OR

    • Use the All dropdown to filter by Users, Branches, or Corporate

  4. Toggle Transfer Appointments to Yes if you want to transfer scheduled appointments along with the lead data (default is No)

  5. Click Transfer to complete the action (the button will show the number of selected leads)

From Lead Details Screen

  1. Navigate to the Lead Details screen for the specific lead

  2. Locate the Transfer button in the top right corner of the screen

  3. Follow the same transfer steps as above to select the destination and configure appointment transfer

Best Practices

  • Use appointment transfer when reassigning leads with upcoming scheduled meetings to maintain continuity

  • Filter by branch/corporate when you need to transfer leads to a specific team or location

  • Verify permissions before attempting transfers to ensure users have the necessary access

  • Communicate transfers to the receiving party when moving important or time-sensitive leads

  • Use multi-select for bulk transfers rather than transferring leads individually when possible

Troubleshooting

  • Transfer button not visible
    Verify the Enable Transfer Leads permission is enabled for your user role
    Check that you have selected at least one lead (for Lead Manager Screen transfers)

  • Cannot find specific user in transfer list
    Use the Search field to type the user's name directly
    Verify the user is active and has appropriate permissions to receive leads

  • Appointments not transferring with leads
    Ensure you toggled Transfer Appointments to Yes before completing the transfer
    Verify the appointments are still scheduled and not cancelled

  • Transfer option missing from Lead Details screen
    Confirm you have the Enable Transfer Leads permission enabled
    Check that you are viewing the lead in Edit mode or have appropriate access rights

  • Multiple leads not transferring together
    Ensure all desired leads are selected before clicking the Transfer button
    Verify you have permission to transfer all selected lead types or statuses
