Overview
Administrators can change the column order, width, and pinning on the Lead Manager screen to control which lead information users see and how it is arranged. Use this feature to show the most pertinent information during a call, or to review data gathered on leads.
Key Functionality
Editing the column layout lets administrators:
Reorder columns to match business priorities.
Hide columns users do not need.
Pin columns left or right so they stay visible while scrolling.
Adjust column widths for better readability.
Allow branches to inherit the corporate layout or create their own.
Before you Begin
You need administrator access to SalesExec settings.
Decide which Record Type's column layout you want to edit.
Screen layout changes affect display only. They do not modify or delete lead data.
How to Edit the Column Layout
Go to More > Settings > Lead Fields.
In the Record Types section, find the Record Type you want to edit. Click Columns.
Step 1: Column Order
Drag and drop fields to reorder them. The order top to bottom equals left to right on the Lead Manager screen.
To hide a field from users, switch its toggle to HIDDEN.
To keep a column visible while scrolling, choose Pin Left or Pin Right from the dropdown. Pinned fields always stay visible.
Note: Newly added lead fields are added to the bottom of the existing list. Do not add every possible lead field or system field. Adding too many can cause your Lead Manager screen to load slowly. Add only fields pertinent to your team.
Step 2: Column Widths
Hover your cursor over a column divider until the arrow appears.
Drag the arrow right to widen the column or left to narrow it. For example, widen the Phone column so users can see the full phone number.
Step 3: Accounts (Branch-Level Layouts)
Use this step to customize the Column Order for specific branches, or inherit the corporate layout.
Once in the Record Types section, click Columns.
Locate the Accounts section and click the Pencil icon next to the name of the branch you want to edit
Under the Column order, review the note: "This level will inherit from its parent's settings. If you would like for it to have a custom column setup, please click here."
Select Here to override the corporate view and create a new column layout for that branch.
Confirm it Worked
Open My Leads. Verify the columns appear in the order, visibility, pinning, and width you set. If you edited a branch layout, confirm the branch shows its own layout and not the inherited corporate layout.
Best Practices
Keep pull and dialing layouts minimal so users focus on conversations instead of data entry.
Place high-priority field groups at the top of each layout for faster access.
Maintain consistent layouts across similar workflows to reduce user confusion.
Review layouts periodically as sales processes and reporting needs change.
Test layout changes with a small group of users before rolling them out broadly.
Troubleshooting
Issue | What to check |
A field does not appear | Confirm it is included in the Column Order list and its toggle is set to VISIBLE. |
Changes are not visible | Ensure you edited the correct Record Type and layout. |
Users report missing information | Verify the field was not set to HIDDEN or removed unintentionally. |
Lead Manager screen loads slowly | Review the number of fields added. Remove fields not needed for reference, filtering, or data exports. |
A branch is not using its own layout | Confirm you selected Here to override the corporate view under Accounts. |
Note: Screen layout changes affect display only. They do not modify or delete lead data.
