Best Practices
Generate instructions after all your Channels, Sources, and Campaigns are fully configured and named.
Distribute the instructions to lead providers and developers before going live — helps reduce integration mistakes.
When you update a Campaign or Lead Source, regenerate the instructions so your partners always have the correct schema.
Ask your developers to test lead posts using sample payloads from the document to verify everything works.
Keep a version-controlled copy of the instructions — document changes help trace integration problems.
Troubleshooting
Missing Identifiers → Double-check that your Lead Type, Lead Source, or Campaign IDs are properly assigned before generating.
Integration Errors from Providers → Ask your provider to send you a sample post; compare it to your generated schema and sample payload.
Formatting Issues → Confirm that your developer is using the correct data format (XML, JSON, etc.) as defined in the posting document.
Outdated Instructions → After making any change in a Campaign or Lead Source, regenerate the instructions to reflect the latest configuration.
