Overview

SalesExec provides flexible controls that allow administrators to enable or disable specific RingResponse features at the account level. These settings determine how phone numbers, call routing, call tracking, and messaging features behave across the platform. Managing these features correctly ensures compliance, cost control, and alignment with your organization’s communication strategy.

Getting Started

  • First, you will need to make sure you have the appropriate user permissions to adjust your RingResponse features.

  • Navigate to More > Settings > RingResponse Features.

  • Under Billable Options, you can enable or disable desired features. By doing so, adjusts your price per minute.

    • Call Recordings: Record inbound and outbound calls.

    • Warm Transfer: Ability to warm transfer calls internally or to external numbers.

    • Caller ID Lookup: Conduct a CNAM lookup on inbound calls when creating a new lead. Append a new lead with First Name, Last Name, City, State, and Zip Code as well as the phone number to a newly created lead.

    • Voicemail Drops: Ability to drop a pre-recorded message on an outbound call.

    • User Phone Connect: Connect to a user's direct line or softphone when making an outbound call or taking an inbound call.

Best Practices

  • Review feature usage before disabling to avoid disrupting active workflows.

  • Coordinate changes with internal teams that rely on call or messaging features.

  • Disable unused features to reduce complexity and potential billing impact.

  • Document feature changes for internal tracking and troubleshooting.

  • Test feature behavior in a controlled environment when possible.

Troubleshooting

  • If a feature does not appear after enabling, confirm the change was saved successfully.

  • If users report missing functionality, verify both feature status and user permissions.

  • If calls or messages stop processing, check whether a required RingResponse feature was disabled.

  • For unexpected behavior, review recent configuration changes and rollback if necessary.
