How to use your workbook successfully

Here are some rules of the road as you work in your workbook, which is a Google Sheet.

  1. Use Chrome.

  2. Do not add columns.

  3. Do not change column header names.

  4. You're welcome to paste in values, but do not carry over formulas or override any of our formulas. This means you should paste VALUES ONLY.

  5. Do not edit or delete the dark gray cells.

  6. If you want to delete estimates or any other entries, the easiest way to do it is by deleting the entire row.

  7. Add your data in the empty rows beneath your estimates. Delete your estimates only after you've finished adding your own data and you're confident that the estimate is no longer required.

  8. You must complete every required field for sync to work properly.

  9. Either enter monetary data or physical data, not both. We've flagged the cells you should fill in using green and pink header bars.
