How Your Lead Magnet Helps You Nurture Leads and Clients

Your free guide, opt-in page and 12 monthly emails help your practice stay top of mind with leads and clients.

Your lead magnet gives people something helpful in exchange for their email, so you can keep nurturing them and stay top of mind.

Nicole has created this for you

Nicole has written your free guide, 3 Simple Ways to Feel Better (When Everything Feels Like Too Much), your opt-in page, and 12 nurture emails.

The opt-in page is where someone enters their name and email to request the guide. For example, it says: “If you’ve been feeling stuck or overwhelmed, this is a gentle place to begin.”

Once they opt in, ClinicMonk™ emails them the guide. They can also choose to receive your ongoing emails with helpful mental health tips and strategies.

For new leads: stay top of mind until they’re ready

Someone may be interested in therapy but not ready to book yet. Your follow-up emails offer the opt-in page when a lead cancels, doesn’t show, or doesn’t move forward after a consult call.

For example, one of the follow-up emails says: “If now isn’t the right time to start therapy, that’s completely okay. We also have a free guide that many people find helpful when they’re feeling overwhelmed or not sure where to begin.”

They choose whether to opt in. After the guide and short follow-up emails, those who agree to receive ongoing emails begin the nurture sequence: 1 email every 30 days, with 12 emails over about a year.

The purpose is to build trust and stay top of mind. When they’re ready for support, your practice is familiar, and each lead email gives them a link to book a free consult.

For new clients: a welcome resource

It’s the same guide, offered as a welcome resource when someone becomes a client. The welcome email invites them to opt in before receiving it.

Clients who opt in receive the guide and, when they agree to ongoing emails, the client nurture sequence. The emails cover the same 12 topics as the lead sequence, without the consult-call booking invitation.

The goal is to give clients useful tips between sessions, keep them connected to your practice, and support retention. If they stop attending, your practice can still stay top of mind when they’re ready to return.

Where should it go on your website?

Adding the opt-in page to your website is optional. It lets visitors who aren’t ready to book get something useful and join your email list.

A button lower down a page can work well. Ask your website designer to choose a placement that fits your website’s design and your practice’s goals. There isn’t one spot that works for every website.

Link to your opt-in page, rather than directly to the PDF. You can also share that link in blog posts, on social media, and in your email signature.

Can I change the emails?

Yes. Nicole has already written them, but you can adjust the wording for your practice. Read Edit Your Automatic Messages. If you edit a monthly email, check both its lead and client versions.
