CloudFit allows you to upload your own exercise videos and use them alongside the current built-in exercise video library. The free CloudFit plan allows up to 5 custom videos, while the Business and Enterprise Plans support 10,000 custom videos.
Any custom videos uploaded are only available for your account, they are not made available to the rest of CloudFit users. However, CloudFit Enterprise does allow sharing uploaded videos among accounts that are connected (eg. where you may have multiple branches of your gym brand).
Uploading a Video
To get started, in the CloudFit app, go to Settings -> Your Exercises and click "Create Exercise". Give the exercise a name, such as "Push Up" and then choose a video to upload.
If you choose an exercise that already exists in the built-in CloudFit library, then you will be prompted to replace the built-in video with your own.
After a short time to upload and convert the video, the new exercise and the custom video should appear in your list of exercises.
Adding a Custom Exercise to Your Workouts
Adding a custom exercise video to a workout is done the same as the built-in exercises. Navigate to a module, then in the module configuration click "Exercises" or "Add Exercise" and then click the "Add Exercises" button.
You can use the search filter button in the top right corner to filter to only your own custom exercise videos. Where it says "Type", click "ALL" to deselect all exercise types, then click "Custom" to only select custom exercise videos. Close the filter panel and you will see only your custom exercise videos.
Video Recommendations & Specifications
Use videos in a 16:9 aspect ratio (landscape)
Upload videos with high resolution (ideally 720p or higher)
Video length is limited to 20 seconds
Try and use looping video (the start frame and final frame have the model in the same position)
Troubleshooting
Overexposed videos or incorrect video colors after upload
Starting from iPhone 12, videos can be recorded in Dolby Vision HDR. These videos look fine when viewed on the device but when uploaded to CloudFit the videos appear over exposed or washed out.
β
To fix this, please turn off HDR on your device before recording your videos: go to your phone Settings > Camera > Record Video, and turn off HDR Video.
