Teams help you organize shared documents. You can create and send documents without a team.

Find or refresh your teams

  1. Open Settings.

  2. Select Teams and privacy.

  3. Select Refresh teams after your organization updates group membership.

Your organization’s directory or WorkOS groups provide team membership. RakeSign does not add people to those groups from this page.

If you need a team that is missing, ask your organization administrator to check the group and your membership. Refresh teams after they make the change.

Teams are optional. This example workspace has no teams yet.

Set default document access

A team manager or organization administrator can change Default document access for a team.

  • Team members & participants allows team access as well as participant access.

  • Only participants limits access to the people on that document in the workspace.

The default applies to new documents. Document owners can change it. Changing the team default does not change access to existing documents.

Review team roles

Expand People & roles to see the team’s members. Organization administrators can assign Member or Team manager.

Team managers can change the team’s document access default. A team role does not open participant-only documents to that person.

Teams and signing groups

A team controls shared workspace access. A signing group in People stores recipients for reuse at a signing stage.

You do not need a team to create a signing group. Sharing a signing group with a team lets members reuse it; it does not grant document access.
