Set Expiry Time for Shared Object Links in CloudSee Drive enhances secure access by allowing CloudSee Drive users to set an expiration time on links to objects. Shared links to public-facing files or folders automatically expire after the specified period, limiting the window of access and reducing any risk of unauthorized access.

CloudSee Drive users and administrators can manage shared content more effectively, ensuring that shared links are temporary and reducing the likelihood of unintended long-term exposure to organization data.

Why Do You Need It

Sharing files or folders with external users or colleagues is often necessary for collaboration. Leaving shared links active indefinitely can pose a security risk, especially when dealing with sensitive or confidential information.

By adding an expiry time for shared object links, CloudSee Drive provides:

  • Enhanced Security: Automatically revoke access to shared files after a predefined period.

  • Collaboration Flexibility: Share files with external parties for limited time periods, improving control.

  • Simplified Management: Automatically manage the duration of shared links without needing to manually deactivate them.

Who Is It For?

Add Expiry Time is ideal for users who need to share files or folders with external parties or teams, while maintaining control over the duration of access.
