How to fully remove and add the welcome screen

Oftentimes a clean install will resolve your Welcome Screen issues, but how do you do it?

If you are having trouble with the welcome screen then it can often be easiest to uninstall and then reinstall the application, ensuring a clean setup.

Ensure you always have the latest version by updating this when prompted to do so when you turn on the Welcome Screen


Step 1

To uninstall the application, go to the Windows start button in the bottom left of your screen

Type in 'add or remove programs' before clicking the best match.

Step 2

Now wait for it to load your list of applications, then you can find the
ClubRight welcome screen application and click uninstall.

Step 3

After you have uninstalled the ClubRight Welcome Screen, you will navigate to the C:\ drive.

You can access the C drive by clicking your folder icon, then click this pc.

Step 4

Open C drive

Next, go to 'Users',

Then find the clubright and clubright settings file.

Delete these files.


Step 5

Now you are going to reinstall the welcome screen, to do this, you must be logged in as an owner.

Then go to the settings cog in the top right,

Click on club info

Go to the apps tab

Install the welcome screen/pos terminal.

Run the program that downloads, and your Welcome Screen should work. If you have trouble with this process you can always contact us via the orange button in the bottom-right corner.

Please keep in mind that this will reset your Welcome Screen, you will need to log in again, and also setup your scanner and/or access control again. Your approved access control installer can help with this.

IMPORTANT If you encounter a "vendor" or "cannot start application" type error message whilst trying to reinstall the Welcome Screen, then please follow these steps:

  1. close the Welcome screen exe

  2. press the Windows key

  3. type %LocalAppData% and press enter

  4. delete the entire 'Apps' folder

  5. run the Welcome Screen again
