Automating messages with Workflows

Workflows let you automate email and push notification sequences based on what your subscribers do, like starting a trial, upgrading their plan, or going inactive. Think of them as rules that trigger the right message at the right time, without you having to do it manually.

Where to find Workflows

Click on Workflows in the left-hand navigation of your dashboard.

Creating a Workflow

You can either:

  • Start from a template — Clubb provides ready-made workflows for common scenarios, such as signup to free trial conversion flow

  • Start from scratch — build a fully custom flow from the ground up

Available triggers

Each workflow is kicked off by a trigger event. Available triggers are:

  • Start a free trial

  • Start a subscription

  • Cancel subscription

  • Subscription ended

  • Upgrade plan

  • Downgrade plan

  • Inactive for X days (you set the threshold)

Building your workflow

Workflows are built from steps. For each step, choose one of the following actions:

  • Send an email — write the email content directly in the workflow

  • Send a push notification — write the notification text, choose which page opens when tapped, and set when to send it

  • Wait — add a delay before the next step, for example wait 3 days

  • Yes/No branch — split the flow based on a condition, so different subscribers get different messages depending on their behaviour

You can chain as many steps as you need, mixing emails, notifications, waits, and branches to build a complete automated journey.
