The reason you need to apply for a Clinic Growth subscription is because we map it geographically using a franchise mapping tool.
Currently we map applications in the following countries:
The United Kingdom
The point of this is not to restrict the area in which you can promote in, but to protect you from local competition and ensure your competitors can't access the business growth content and campaigns specifically.
Each licence is mapped using a franchise mapping tool called Vision Mapping. We build each territory around a 40,000-50,000 population.
How does it work?
When you apply for a Clinic Growth subscription the licence check that you complete, asks you to fill out your clinic address details.
If a licence has already been mapped in the area you apply for, and is currently inactive (this could be because the previous licence-holder's payment has failed, or the licence was cancelled), you will get the opportunity to purchase the licence immediately.
If the territory hasn't been mapped previously, or the licence in the area you're applying for is currently taken, then it comes to me to map it (or see if it can be mapped) manually. If so, you'll receive an email with a unique purchase link that's specifically coded to that licence.
Why is there a deadline on the licence application period?
We hold that licence for 48 hours to give you a chance to purchase it. During this time it can't be purchased by anyone else, and it's protected exclusively for you. If you miss that 48 hour reservation period (don't worry you'll get a couple of countdown emails), then anyone else who has performed a licence check in the same area during that period, will receive an automated email offering them the chance to purchase the new licence on a first-come-first-served basis.
What does the licence tie me to? Are there any contractual obligations?
It doesn't tie you into anything and no, there are no contractual obligations.
I believe strongly in not tying people into anything they don't want to be tied into, the product has to perform, which is why the subscriptions run on a rolling monthly basis to give you maximum flexibility.
If your subscription lapses, the area remains mapped and available for purchase by someone else in that same vicinity.
Can I see my geographical area?
No, I don't share the mapped areas for two reasons.
I can't afford to get into protracted negotiations with people wanting to custom-design their area
It doesn't really work like that anyway....
The objective of the mapping is to limit the availability of licences in an area and ensure that you have a unique population of at least 40,000-50,000 people mapped as centrally as possible around the address you've given me.
It's more about limiting access to the content and preventing too many practitioners having access to the same content in the same population groups, and less about the physical geographical boundaries and borders.
