Coach Paint supports two Disk Recorders: Disk Recorder 1 (DR1) and Disk Recorder 2 (DR2). Below are updated instructions based on the recorder you are using.
Disk Recorder 1 (DR1)
DR1 is the traditional recorder and supports exporting videos with audio. If you are using DR1, follow these steps:
Close Coach Paint
Ensure Coach Paint is not running before making any changes.Open the Config Editor
Launch the Config Editor and navigate to the "Audio" tab.Enable Audio
Save and Relaunch Coach Paint
Click "OK" and then "Save" in the Config Editor.
Open Coach Paint and proceed with your work.
Notes for DR1:
You will not hear the audio while working in Coach Paint, but the audio will be included in the exported video.
Changing the audio settings in the Config Editor will erase any imported work. Back up your work before making changes.
Disk Recorder 2 (DR2)
DR2 is the default recorder for installations starting with Coach Paint version 9.7. While it includes enhancements such as dynamic memory allocation and automatic transcoding, it does not currently support exporting videos with audio.
If exporting videos with audio is essential, you will need to switch to DR1 or edit the exported video with a third-party tool.
If you want to switch from DR2 to the original DR1, please follow these steps: Select DR1 as your standard disk recorder
