How to set up your Artist Profile

Updated over 2 weeks ago

When you first navigate to Drops you will see a prompt to create an Artist Profile. This is the first step to launching a Drop.

There are several fields you need to confirm here. By default, Cobrand will fill them out but it's worth a second look to make sure your details appear exactly as you intend for all fan interactions. If you need to change anything in the future, you can do so via Edit Artist Profile.

Keep reading for a detailed explanation of what each field represents.

Profile Details

This is for internal purposes only. The Profile Name is simply what appears in the Drops tab and headers in Cobrand.

Link & SMS Display Names

The Link Display Name is what appears at the end of the URL ahead of the Drop-specific URL ending.

Since you will always choose a unique URL ending for each Drop, we suggest leaving this as the artist's name.

The SMS Contact Display Name is what appears with short-code number texts (alphanumeric), notably the UK market when texting from an international number. Heads up, this field can only be 11 characters and this is a carrier restriction.

Here is how the SMS Contact Name will appear:

In markets that support long-form messaging, the SMS Profile Name will not be used. Instead, you can attach a Contact Card. This will send a file with the outgoing text which contains a thumbnail image and contact details. When the fan downloads the file, the Contact Card gets added to their Contacts. Then, future messages come through as the Artist including their name and profile image. Contact Cards are not available in the UK.

Artist Profile Image

Cobrand will use the default thumbnail on-file for the artist. If you prefer to use a different asset, for example the branding for a new album, you are encouraged to upload it here!

Social and Platform Links

Last but not least, these links get added automatically to Drops. It is a convenient way for fans to link out to social platforms from the custom landing page. If you see any are missing, we encourage you to add them in.
