Resubmission after Grading

How to allow for student submission after grades are in.

Purpose

This article explains how to set up an assignment that allows students to resubmit if needed.

Procedure

  1. Turn Edit mode on.

2. On your course page, click on the assignment link.

3. Click the assignment Settings tab.

4. In the Availability section, change the Cut-off date so the student will be able to submit. This will not affect other students who submitted and have received a grade

5. Go to the Submissions settings section and change Allowed attempts to 2. This will open a new menu. Click the radio button next to Manually.

6. Save your changes.

Save button.

7. Return to the assignment and click the Submissions tab.

8. Find the student, click the three vertical dots in the Status column, and then click Allow another attempt. Only this student will see an Add a new attempt button.
