Adding Questions to the Question Bank

Learn how to create questions in the question bank

Purpose

The purpose of this article is to demonstrate how to add questions to the Moodle question bank for use in quizzes using a specific quiz type as an example.

Note

This article also demonstrates how to employ the questions in the Select missing words type quiz.

Procedure

  1. Start in Edit mode.

  2. Select the More tab.

  3. Select Question bank.

  4. Click Create a new question.

  5. For this quiz, choose Select missing words from the quiz type options and then click Add.

  6. Fill in your question name and the question text. For this type of question, you must place the numerical answer in double square brackets.

  7. Fill in your answers. The answer must match the choice number.

  8. Save your changes.

  9. Click the Quiz tab and test your quiz.
