Purpose
The purpose of this article is to provide step-by-step instructions for creating a matching quiz in a Moodle course.
Procedures
Turn on Edit mode.
Click the + sign in the area of the course where you want to add a quiz, and then click Activity or resource.
Choose the quiz tile.
Name the quiz, add instructions in the description box (optional), and check Display description on course page (optional).
Choose whether to set a time limit or not.
Set the category and the number of attempts allowed.
Decide how many questions you want on each page. Just one is recommended in case there is a power outage.
Decide if you want to stick with the default question behavior settings.
Set any other criteria you prefer.
Save your changes.
Click the link to your newly created quiz.
Click Add a question.
Click Add and decide whether you will pull questions from the question bank or create them on the spot. In this case, choose to add a new question.
Choose Matching from the list of options
Click Add.
Give your question a name and add text to the description box.
Fill in the questions and answers in the spaces provided.
Save your changes.
Click the Quiz tab and the click then the Preview quiz button.
Select the Question bank tab and then the Edit button next to your question to make question corrections.
