Reporting Tools: Course Reports

Review different logs to gather course/student data

  1. From your course page, click Reports

  2. Choose Logs from the list

  3. Choose the student and date you want to look at

    Dropdown options to choose which logs you want to see with participants and date dropdowns highlighted.

  4. Click the Get these logs button

  5. The log report will tell you the date and time in which a student was active

  6. In the same information row, the log will describe the action that took place, e.g., viewed, submitted, etc. Below you can see the student uploaded a file and viewed an activity

Accessibility Report

View accessibility issues identified in your course content and receive guidance on how to improve accessibility for all learners.

Dates Report

Displays all course dates in one place, including assignment due dates, quiz dates, and other activity deadlines, making it easy to review and update course timelines.

Licences Report

Shows the licenses applied to course content and files, helping instructors review and manage copyright and content licensing information.

Logs

View detailed records of user activity within the course. Logs can be filtered by participant, activity, date, and action to investigate specific events or monitor engagement.

Live Logs

Displays user activity occurring in the course in near real time, allowing instructors to monitor what participants are doing as it happens.

Activity Report

Provides an overview of how often each course activity or resource has been viewed, along with the date it was last accessed, helping identify which content is being used.

Course Participation

Generates a report showing which students have interacted with a selected activity or resource. This report is useful for identifying students who may need a reminder or follow-up.

Activity Completion

Displays the completion status of activities for all students in the course, allowing instructors to quickly monitor learner progress and identify incomplete work.
