Drag the Words Activity Using H5P

Learn to create a drag and drop activity to assess student knowledge

Purpose

The purpose of this article is to provide step-by-step instructions for creating an H5P Drag and Drop activity in a Moodle course

Procedures

1. Make sure you are in Edit mode

2. Click the More tab in your course

3. Select Content bank from the dropdown menu

4. Click the Add button to open the activity menu

5. Select Drag the Words

6. Title the activity and add text. The answer to your statement or question must be in asterisks

7. Change the behavioral settings from the default settings if you like

8. Save your changes

10. Click the Course tab

11. Click Add an activity or resource

12. Choose the H5P mini tile

13. Add an activity name, instructions (optional), and check the box next to Display description on course page (optional)

14. Click the file icon to open the file picker

15. Pull the file from the Content bank

16. Select the file and then click the Select this file button in the pop-up

17. The file will load. Set other criteria for the assignment as you normally would

18. Save your changes

19. The activity will appear on your course page

20. Students can then drag the answers to the blanks and get immediate feedback
