Mark the Words Using H5P

Learn how to create choices students can mark in the application

Purpose

The purpose of this article is to provide step-by-step instructions for setting up a Mark the Word activity using H5P.

Procedures

  1. Make sure you are in Edit mode.

  2. Click the More tab in your course.

  3. Select Content bank from the dropdown menu.

  4. Click the Add button to open the activity menu.

  5. Scroll down the choice list and select Mark the Words.

  6. Title the activity, add a task description, and add questions/statements in the text field. The correct answer must be a single word surrounded by asterisks, and both choices must be in parentheses separated by a comma.

  7. Save your changes.

  8. Test your activity.

  9. Go to your Course tab.

  10. Click Add an activity or resource.

  11. Select the H5P mini tile.

  12. Name your activity, provide a description or instructions (optional), and check the box next to Display description on course page (optional).

  13. Click the file icon to add your H5P content.

  14. Make sure Content bank is highlighted in the File picker.

  15. Select the file and then click the Select this file in the pop-up.

  16. Save your changes.

  17. The activity will appear on your course page.
