Embed an H5P Activity into another Activity

Learn how to embed H5P content to enrich another resource

Purpose

The purpose of this article is to provide step-by-step instructions for embedding an H5P activity into another Moodle activity.

Procedures

  1. Make sure editing in on.

    Edit button toggle switch.

  2. Go to the H5P activity in your course and click the three dots on the far left.

  3. Select Availability and then Make available but don't show on course page.

  4. The activity will be marked as hidden from students.

  5. Next choose Edit settings.

  6. Go down to H5P options and check the box next to Embed button.

  7. Choose Save and display when you save

  8. Scroll to the bottom of the activity page, find <> Embed, and click it.

  9. Right click and Select all the text (or use the Control A or Command A keys on your keyboard).

  10. Then right click and copy.

  11. In the description box (General section) of the activity in which you wish to embed the H5P activity, View and then Source code.

  12. HTML text will appear. Paste the embed code for yr H5P content at the end.

  13. Save your changes.

  14. The H5P activity will display in your primary activity. Below, an H5P collage activity is embedded in a forum post.

  15. The H5P content should remain hidden and made available as mentioned before. Note that this content was embedded into a forum activity called Pick and Post.
